MinaKushi Story02

"Mi-ko-to!" Kushina shouted as she ran to the Uchiha girl.

"Hmm?" the black haired girl said before seeing her best friend approaching her. "What is it Kushina?" she asked once the red haired girl was by her side, trying to catch her breath.

"You won't believe what happened to me –ttebane!"

"–Ttebane?" the black haired thought "Oh, this' gonna' be good.Prove me".

"Do you remember Namikaze Minato?" that one was way easy, Minato was their handsome, popular comrade who graduated at the age of 10. The Uchiha girl limited herself to just a nod. "I think I like him –ttebane!"

Mikoto's world stopped "Like. Him? Minato?" Kushina blushed and nodded. Mikoto recomposed and smiled at her friend "So, Red Habanero fell for Yellow Flash, hugh?" Red-haired's blush turned from light pink to deep red, looking down she tried to hide it "never expected this from you… but then, I must remember, you are full of surprises".

"Yeah…" Kushina said as rubbing her head "he said the same thing of me when he saw my room". After realizing that Mikoto had no idea of 'the event', she tried to get clear saying "He came to my house… and spent the night in my room… and we ate breakfast together… b-but it was so because he rescued me –ttebane!"

The Uchiha looked back at Red Habanero asking for an explanation for that last sentence of the '–ttebane'. When Kushina was about to finish her more detailed explanation, Mikoto's jaw dropped and interrupted her "Ok, so he accepted. And then?"

"I was about to tell ya'!" a possessed-by-nervousness Kushina replied "Don't interrupt me -ttebane!" She started breathing hard.



*flash back*


Kushina entered the kitchen followed by Minato; her evident blush had lightened a little bit. Red Habanero invited Yellow Flash to sit. The table was done, and the dishes were in their place: hot cakes with jam and honey.

"You looked surprised" she commented after she looked at him.

"I never thought of you as a chef" he confessed as rubbing his read.

"I just know how to make breakfast" she sat down followed by the boy in white jacket "I eat at Ichiraku's or in Mikoto's place, and dinner whatever Miku makes" the redheaded explained.

"Miku?" the blond asked confused.

"My tutor" she said before taking the first bite "She goes early, returns by late afternoon to cook, eats and goes to sleep" she took a second bite "That, unless she's on a mission".

Minato took his first bite "Hmm… it's good!" he smiled.



*back to actuality*


"… And then?" Mikoto asked expectant.

"We finished eating, and he went back to the village" Kushina covered her face between her hands. The girls had founded a good place to talk on a branch of a nearby tree.

"That's all?!" said the black haired wishing for more details. "Didn't he say something about… the night before?"

The redheaded nodded "Just before he left –ttebane!"



*flash back"


"Mi-Minato" murmured the girl. Yellow Flash stopped by the mention of his name, turned to see the red haired making her to turn her head down. "About last night… what you said…" she gulped before looking back at him "Did you mean it?"

At first none of them moved, they just stared at each other's eyes. But after what for Kushina was an eternity, Minato smiled "Yes, I did meant it. And I also mean to keep my promise".

"Promise?"

He nodded "I'll never leave you".

Red Habanero's face had a dumb smile in it and violet eyes looking to the horizon. She remembered it perfectly; principally, because it hadn't been more than a day since, and because she repeated that scene in her mind every time.

"Aww! How romantic!" the Uchiha girl exclaimed "I would fall for that too!" she looked back at her friend "Kushina?" the redheaded returned to actuality "have you seen him since?"

"Yes, but… not like that" she looked down "when I went to the Hokage's office to relate the accident, he was there". Her friend waited "But we didn't talk".

Mikoto looked at her friend's face, Kushina was disappointed. Mikoto herself was disappointed.

She was about to try and console her friend when this smiled at her "But…" she took out a folded sheet of paper from her black obi "I found this on my room's door last night" a giant smile covered the redheaded face.

The Uchiha girl extended a hand "Can I read it? Or you want to read it yourself?" she asked exited.

Red Habanero launched the paper to the black haired "Read it yourself. I can't do it without trembling –ttebane!" she exclaimed screaming.

"Shot it, Kushina" Mikoto said before turning her head both sides and back to her friend's blushed up face "What if someone hears us?"

Kushina's face turned white "You're suggesting he could hear us?" immediately she started looking both sides of the street, behind them and over them. Her head was turning everywhere in a high speed mode.

Mikoto looked at her friend and after a while, suddenly she started giggling and louder, and louder, and louder until it turned into an abnormal 'LOL'. "What's so funny –ttebane?!" Red Habanero shouted as she looked back at the Uchiha girl "I can't catch the joke!"

"You are a joke Kushina-chan!" Mikoto exclaimed between laughs. After calming herself enough to talk she turned to her friend, who stood with a 'WTH?' marked on her entire face. "I had never seen you like this" her friend was shocked, Mikoto looked up to the sky and added "being honest, I had never even imagined you like this. You really like that girly wimp'" she said teasing her friend a bit; she didn't considered Minato a girly wimp anymore.

Mikoto looked down to the sheet of paper and started unfolding it. She identified the Minato's handwriting and started reading:

Kushina, Sorry for my attitude back at the Hokage's office, it's just
Thanks for the breakfast, I really loved
I would like to talk to you, meet me at Ichiraku's at 4 tomorrow. Minato

Mikoto looked at her friend anxiously "You received this last night, right?"

Kushina looked down "yes" Mikoto looked up at the sky; it was about 10am "I don't know what to do! Help me –ttebane!"

The black haired smiled, Kushina was asking for her help. Well, that is something someone like her would ask to if she had confidence. The kind of confidence that just exists between friends.
